09.07.07:

  • HEY EVERYONE! We hope everyone’s enjoying the new pages here at cainmusic.com! Thanks again to our man Anthony for putting it all together! If you have any comments on the site or just want to drop us a line, send us an e-mail.
  • CONGRATS to our bassist Joel and his wife on their new baby! Although they’ve got their hands full at home, we’ll all be pressing on and booking new shows for the fall and into 2008.
  • Next up, we’ll be back at The All-Star Café in Gilbertsville. Check out the shows page more info. SEE YOU THEN!!!

07.25.07:

HEY EVERYONE! Welcome to the new cainmusic.com! Kudos to our man Anthony for all his hard work in bringing you our new digs!
Our drummer Tommy has finally recuperated from his operation in June! We’re glad Tommy’s well and we’re back in full force to make some noise again! We’ll be back at the All-Star Café on Saturday, August 18! We’re looking forward to playing live as a full band again! Thanks again to all who came out to our acoustic show in June…
RC is in the process of booking new shows for the Fall. We’ll be playing the annual outdoor street fest in Conshohocken on October 6! The time slot and stage is to be determined, but we’ll let you know as soon as we know!
We’ll see you all on 8/18 at The All-Star Café…

07.13.07:

THANKS TO ALL who came to our first ever all-acoustic show at Bobby’s Burgers last Saturday night!!! We had a blast and we hope you did too! Our old pal Carlos came up from Delaware and played most of the 2 first sets with us! It was great to jam with him again, so thanks, Carlos! And thanks to the great crowd that was singing along with us the whole night!

With our drummer still recuperating, RC is taking a little break. Unless, of course, another acoustic show comes up! If not, our next show will be on 8/18 at The All-Star Café in Gilbertsville.

SEE YOU ALL THEN!!!

02.18.07:

THANKS to all who came out to see us at our show last week at Bobby’s! Hope you all had a great time, we know we did! And thanks to our long-time sound guy, Mike, for coming up and playing guitar on “Rockin’ In The Free World.” And Eric had a BLAST playing guitar live for the first time ever! The band also rolled new covers “You May Be Right” (Billy Joel), “Tush” (ZZ Top), and “Surrender” (Cheap Trick).

On an unfortunate note, our bassist, Billy, will be taking some time off from the band to take care of business at work and home. In his absence, Joel, Angelo’s friend and longtime bassist, will be filling in. Billy will be sorely missed wile he’s away, but the band will be moving ahead with shows booked for the next several months.

01.27.07:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Hope you all had a great one! Raising Cain has been busy rehearsing some new tunes for our next round of shows (more on that below). In the meantime, Eric has been filling in on rhythm guitar in hopes of becoming “the guy” to compliment Angelo’s STELLAR guitar work! However, RC has still not ruled out the possibility of a new member joining the fold. So if you can play guitar and sing a little backup (knowing how to play keyboards wouldn’t hurt either!), drop us a line if you’d like to give it a try.

More new shows have been added for 2007! We’ll be back at Bobby Burgers on 2/10, and playing some new venues in the spring. Check out the Shows page for the lowdown on all our upcoming dates.

In the meantime, Eric will be filling in on vox for his old bandmates from Tungsten Groove for their next show. Now dubbed Frequency, Eric will be playing with the guys from northern New Jersey for their upcoming show on 2/3. It should be an awesome night out for all if you happen to be in the area. Click here: FrequecyRocks.com to find out more.

12.20.06:

Thanks to all who crashed our party at Bobby’s on Saturday night! We had a great time playing one last gig with Carlos (we miss you already, bud!). At midnight, the crowd helped celebrate Eric’s birthday by buying him shots and throwing thongs at the band! So the crowd was NUTS as usual! And for the first time, some friends joined us onstage! Thanks to John and Steve for coming up and playing guitar with us, and thanks to Stacy for her killer vocals on “Shimmer”! As always, a great time was had by all. This time, we’ve got the pictures to prove it! Those pics will be posted here soon.

On an unfortunate note, Rich, tapped to be our new guitarist, will not be a part of the band after all. After 2 ½ months of auditions and rehearsals, it became apparent that Rich was not the right fit for RC. He’s a really nice guy and we wish him well.

So the search for a new axeman continues! Eric has been filling in on six-string at rehearsal while continuing his singing duties, but we’d really like to round the band out with a 5th member that can give us the full sound RC fans have come to expect. So drop us a line if you’d like to give it a try.

New shows have been added for 2007! We’ll be back at Bobby Burgers on 2/10. Check out the Shows page for more dates.

In the meantime, RC would like to wish you the happiest of holidays, and a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

11.18.06:

HELLO ALL! Well, after a not-too-long search, we now have a new guitarist! Please welcome Rich to the band! He answered our ad, and has now answered the call to take on our MONSTER of a song list! Trust us when we say he’s got his work cut out fir him! He’ll be debuting at our gig at Bobby’s on 12/16, which is also Carlos’ last show with us. We’re VERY sorry to see Carlos go, but we wish him and his family all the best in Delaware…

Also, our 11 new demo songs are posted here on cainmusic.com! Go to the Music page and check ‘em out! We had a great time recording it, so enjoy! The 11 new songs are: "BETTER MAN", "I JUST WANNA MAKE LOVE TO YOU", "I WANT YOU TO WANT ME", "LIGHTS", "LOW", "NAME", "PORCH", "SUMMER OF '69", "WE'RE AN AMERICAN BAND" and "WHY DON'T WE GET DRUNK & SCREW?".

10.15.06:

It’s been a while since our last update, but we’ve been kinda busy! Soon after last month’s show was cancelled due to illness (sorry if you went down to see us that night), we went into the studio and recorded our new demo! We did 11 tracks at The Music Collective on 9/23: Better Man, I Just Wanna Make Love To You, I Want You To Want Me, Lights, Low, Name, Pink Houses, Porch, Summer Of ‘69, We’re An American Band, Why Don’t We Get Drunk & Screw? We've also been busy searching for Carlos’ replacement. A few guys have come down, and we’ve been impressed with who we’ve seen so far. If you’re a guitar/keyboard player and you think you’d like to join the RC fold, drop us a line and we’ll talk.

09.16.06:

The band sad is to announce that our guitarist Carlos will be leaving the fold in a couple of months to move out of state. While we wish him and his family all the best in his new life, we’re very sorry to see him go. He will be leaving big shoes to fill for his eventual replacement.

Next up, we'll be at Bobby Burgers Tavern on 5/16. See you there!

03.12.06:

We had another GREAT gig at Juno's in Collegeville this past Friday night! Once again, we kept the crowd going until the very end, and they were yelling for more! It's great to see all the familiar faces at our shows each time we play. Next up, we'll be at The Gravel Pike Inn in Collegeville on Saturday, 4/15. Pics from the show will be posted soon...

03.7.06:

Many, many thanks to the AWESOME crowd at Bobby Burgers Tavern this past Friday night! We played 4 sets, 50 songs, and the crowd was yelling for more! In the meantime, we'll be at Juno's Sports Bar & Grille this Friday, 3/10.

01.02.06:

The band would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Wherever you were (if you can REMEMBER where you were!), we hope your holidays were safe and enjoyable. Raising Cain is looking forward to hitting stages again in 2006! Another show has just been added for 2/11, at the Gravel Pike Inn on Rt. 29 in Collegeville. It's sure to be another great one, so come on down!

12.08.05:

Our first new show has been scheduled for 2006! We'll be back at Juno's Sports Bar & Grille on 3/10. Go to our Upcoming Shows page for more info. As always, many thanks for your continued support! More shows to be announced soon!

12.05.05:

It was another great show Friday night at Juno's Sports Bar & Grille in Collegeville! The larger venue enabled Angelo to go wireless. Can a wireless mic for Eric be far behind? We'll see, Christmas is coming! In additon to 3 16-song sets, we played Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" for the first time live. More shows to be announced soon! Also, due to some technical issues, the Music page is currently unavailable. This will be fixed soon...

10.15.05:

Thanks to all our fans, and to the great crowd, who cheered us on at the Bridgeport Rib House last night! We tried some new songs last night, like Weezer's "Beverly Hills" and "Name" by the Goo Goo Dolls. Kudos to Billy on the lead vocals, and to Ang on the acoustic guitar, for the latter. Next, we'll be at Juno's Sports Bar in Collegeville on 12/2. New shows may pop up before then, so check back here often. Much thanks for your continued support!

09.25.05:

Due to circumstances WAY beyond our control, last's night's show at Primavera's Pizza Kitchen in Downingtown was cancelled. Our apologies to all who came out to see us, only to find another band setting up in our place. It seems a change in management there caused a MAJOR booking snafu! Also, upcoming shows on 10/22 and 11/4 at Juno's, and our show on 11/5 at the Conshi Rib House, will also be rescheduled, most likely after the new year. 2 more shows remain for this year (so far). Next up, we'll be at the Bridgeport Rib House in Bridgeport on 10/14. Thanks for you continued support, and we'll see you there!

08.28.05:

Thanks again to all showed us their love last night at the Conshi Rib House! Our first return gig there was a great one! We tried some more new songs - Bill sang "I Want You To Want Me" (Cheap Trick) and "Laid" (James). We also did "Drift Away" (Dobie Gray) for the first time. While our axeman Carlos was not with us last night, Angelo compensated with some EXCELLENT guitar work!

08.14.05:

MANY Congratulations to our guitarist Carlos and his wife Amy! They just welcomed their new baby boy into the world this weekend! Carlos will be some taking some time off from the band to be with his family, but we'll be pressing on as a 4-peice in 2 weeks at the Conshi Ribhouse. Also, please check out the Song Listpage for some other new additions...

08.10.05:

Some pics from the WMGK House Band Contest from 6/24/05 have (finally!) been posted. Thanks to Dawn for the pics. Also, some ideas are in the works here at cainmusic.com for a new and improved photos page. Keep checking back for more...

08.08.05:

Thanks to all for another fun show at the Primavera Pizza Kitchen in Downingtown this past Saturday night! The crowd response was unbelievable, and we thank you for your support and comments about the show. We'll be back at Primavera's on 9/24. Next up, we're back at the Conshi Ribhouse on 8/27. See you there!

07.30.05:

We had a great show last night at Fiddler's Green in King Of Prussia! Much thanks to great crowd and to a great place to play. We introduced some new songs into the set list - Foo Fighters' "Best Of You", Pearl Jam's "Alive", and Vertical Horizon's "You're A God"! Next up - The Priamvera Pizza Kitchen in Downingtown. Hope to see you there! Check out the Upsoming Shows page more details. Also, pics from the WMGK House Contest will be posted soon!

07.13.05:

Even more shows added! We'll be making a few stops at Juno's Sports Bar & Grille in Collegeville in the fall, as well as the Bridgeport Rib House in Bridgeport. Also, our 9/10 date at the Conshi Ribhouse has been rescheduled. Check out the Upcoming Shows page for more details. With these dates in place, we've got shows scheduled to the end of '05! We've just added shows at Fiddler's Green on 7/29 and Pepper's Italian Restaurant on 9/3, both in King Of Prussia. Check out the Upcoming Shows page for more info. See you there!

06.26.05:

Well, by all accounts from those who were there, we BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE Friday night at the Bent Elbow in Fort Washington! We played 3 songs for the WMGK House Band Contest. We were given a new song to learn for the night - Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band". We'd like to thank our drummer Tommy for his MAD skills on the cowbell! We really had a great time onstage, and played to one of our largest crowds EVER! Although we didn't advance to the next round of the contest, the crowd's reaction definitely made us feel like the winners! If you were there, thanks for showing such overwhelming support, it wouldn't have been the same without you!

06.17.05:

The Blackhorse Pub pics have been added for your viewing pleasure! Also, you probably already noticed the new pic on the main page. That was also taken last week at the Blackhorse. We'll see you next Friday at the Bent Elbow for the WMGK House Band contest!

06.12.05:

RC thanks you again for your support and hope you enjoyed last night's show at the Blackhorse Pub in Plymouth Meeting. The regular crowd was there mostly to play some pool, but definitely got a lot more when we took the stage! Some people in the crowd even took home copies of our demo. We got a lot of great pics from last night's show, and they'll be posted here shortly...

06.07.05:

If you're reading this, you probably already know that we've made a few changes at cainmusic.com. Our song list, upcoming shows, and links section now each have a page unto themselves. We thought this would make our site easier to use and read. We're always looking for suggestions, so drop us a line with any ideas. In the meantime, enjoy!

06.04.05:

We had a GREAT time at the Conshy Rib House last night! We played 3 sets, and even some requests at the end of the show. We played the Voilent Femmes' "Blister In The Sun" and The Doors' "Roadhouse Blues" by request to finish out the night. As we said at the show, feel free to e-mail the band with any requests you may have. Thanks to all who came out in the rain to check us out, and we hope you like what you saw (and heard!). We'll be at the Blackhorse Pub in Plymouth Meeting this coming Saturday, 6/11. Hope to see you then!

05.27.05:

Raising Cain was just selected as one of the 16 semi-finalists for the WMGK House Band contest!! We'll be playing/competing at the Bent Elbow in Fort Washington on June 24th. Hope you'll come down and support the band to help us win it all! We'll be playing 3 classic rock songs that night - with one that WMGK will give us to learn the week before! It's gonna be a great time, so come on down!

05.04.05:

More shows added! RC will be onstage for a full night at the Blackhorse Pub in Plymouth Meeting on June 11th, and the Primavera Pizza Kitchen in Downingtown on July 16th and August 6th. Address info is located below. More shows are still in the works. If you'd like Raising Cain to come to your local watering hole, drop us a line!

04.07.05:

...And finally, some shows to plug! Raising Cain will be playing Friday, June 3rd, at the Conshy Rib House located at 600 E. Hector St., Conshohocken PA. Call (610)834-9400 for directions. So come down that night and rock out with us and the rest of the crowd! More shows are in the works, and we'll post 'em here when they're set!

03.12.05:

RC lit it up again at the Rib House last night! We managed to play 8 songs - "Banditos", "Cumbersome", "Big Me", "Say It Ain't So", "Corduroy,", Last Kiss", "Animal", and "The Seeker". Thanks to Misplaced Relix (last night's house band) for letting us go up and do our thing. Thanks also to everyone who was there, and to the guy in the crowd who took pix for us. Go to the Photos page to check them out!

03.09.05:

Raising Cain will be back at the Bridgeport Rib House this Friday night, 3/11/05, for another round of Open Mic night! We'll be playing some different tunes this time, so come down and check it out!!

02.28.05:

RC had a BLAST this past Friday night at the Bridgeport Rib House! We played a six-song mini-set including all of the tunes on our new demo, with the exception of "Say It Ain't So", which was replaced by Journey's "Lights". For anyone was there, we had a great time playing and look forward to doing it again SOON!!

02.20.05:

The band completes it's self-titled new demo. The six songs were recorded at The Music Collective in Valley Forge, by the in-house engineer, Paul. The six songs completed were: "Cold Hard Bitch", "She", "Animal", "Say It Ain't So", "Can't Explain", and "Fortunate Son". Look for RC next at Open Mic night at the Bridgeport Rib House in Bridgeport, this Friday night, 2/25.
